	About
MAIN	I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1946 and grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. My father owned an advertising agency in Detroit and one of his clients was the Jamaican Tourist Board. For many years, in the 1950’s and ‘60’s we traveled between Michigan and Jamaica several times a year. We also traveled to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Canada and Mexico. The “travel bug” bit me at a very early age and I have been wandering ever since. Along the way I obtained a degree from Hood College, Frederick, Maryland and enjoyed a career as a museum director and archaeologist. I have spent many wonderful years meeting and becoming friends with people from all over our wonderful world. Through Learning Holiday, I have the pleasure of helping others, from around the globe, to find meaningful vacation ideas. These are vacations that not only allow one to give back to their world, but to help make their world a better place. Eco-tourism is a big part of that ideal and so is volunteer tourism.
