            The International Partnership for Service - Learning and Leadership
            This program offers one semester or one year of learning on a Lakota/Dakota reservation. Run by the South Dakota State University at Brookings, you will study the history, culture and issues concerning the Plains Indians. Successful completion of this course will earn 15 credits.

New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity –

            Help with the ongoing recovery and rebuilding of New Orleans. Habitat for Humanity International needs help with the construction of hundreds of new homes in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, and St, Bernard Parishes. Wilderness Volunteers –

            A not for profit organization that promotes volunteer service to America’s wild lands through cooperation with The National Park Service, the Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the IS Fish and Wildlife Service. All trips cost $239.00 for a one week long volunteer opportunity. There will be free time for you to explore the area to which you are assigned. Red Feather Development Group –

            Creating sustainable housing for Native American reservations, educating in Native American schools, and focuses attention on the problems that plague Native American Reservations are just a few of the things that Red Feather does.             There will be plenty of volunteer work in the port city of New Orleans for years to come. Be part of the massive clean-up and help those who would like to see this vibrant one-of-a-kind city return to its former glory.             In 1964 Partners of the Alliance was established as part of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Shortly after its founding Partners of the Alliance moved to private financing and control and became Partners for the Americas.
